The Challenge

Updated: Oct 7, 2022

Medical school is such a challenging journey. We often forget how hard we worked to get here and hard we are currently working to make it through. Along with dealing with the challenges of adulthood, we are also full time students and that’s not easy.

Many times as a med student I feel like I’m way too hard on myself. I have to remind myself to relax and not to study all the time. I have to continue doing the things I love to avoid burning myself out. My mom always says “you got this girl!” Though it may seem like a simple sentence, it holds so much weight and power. It lets me know to remain focused and stay confident in myself. As I navigate through a challenging semester, I always need to remind myself that I got this! For any other students out there going through a challenging time, YOU GOT THIS and always reach out to your support system when you need it!
